Musisi wins Golden award
The Kampala City Council Authority(KCCA) Executive DirectorJennifer S Musisi has received ‘The Golden European Award For Quality and Business Prestige’ in the Public Administration Sphere.
She was presented the award at the World Business Assembly Conference of Leaders and Socrates Award Ceremony held in Rome, Italy on Sunday 27 September 2015.
WBA operational in over 35 countries gathered business leaders, scientists, and experts in different spheres Administration from Australia, Malaysia, Nigeria, Ghana, India, SouthAfrica among others.
The award aim to distinguish personalities who work for fulfilling the socrates’s ideal for truth, openness to new ideas, recognition for ethical behavior and tolerance in a number of fields including government management, education, science and technology.
According to the WBA, contenders for the award are exceptional specialists with a proven success record, high ethics, selflessness, intellectual capability, degree of modernism and ability to recreate the ideas in different situations and business.
Musisi was identified as one of the persons who has exhibited intellectual capacity, initiative and energy towards transformation of Kampala, bringing people together and constantly striving for progress.
“This is yet another acknowledgement for KCCA for the transformation journey it started undertaking four years ago. This award is dedicated to KCCA staff, who have embarked on this journey of ensuring that Kampala is cleaner, with better roads, greener open spaces and a more livable city. I would like to commend the Government’s support that has helped us offer services to Kampala residents, leading to such international recognition.” Musisi said while receiving the award.
Musisi has in the past received the Rotary International award, Paul Harris Fellow Award and the CEO Global’s Most Influential Women in Business and Government Awards. She has also received several awards from individuals and corporations.
