DP’s Nobert Mao admitted in Hospital

Democratic Party (DP) president general, Norbert Mao, has been admitted to International Hospital Kampala.

According to the acting party spokesperson, Kenneth Paul Kakande while at a news conference in Kampala, Mao got some complications and was rushed to the hospital for treatment on Monday . He however, dismissed reports that the party chief was in comma.

Reports had earlier stated that the party president was in a coma, however Kenneth dismissed them as not being true

Early this year, Mao took leave from party activities. “We have 40 leaders who will steer the party in my absence. My doctors have advised that I rest,” Mao announced.

“I need to take a break for my own health and from the petty internal bickering and gain strength for bigger battles ahead of me to liberate Uganda,” he explained.

Last year, Mao was flown to Nairobi Hospital for severe chest pain treatment.
